Urinary tract problems are always lurking. Let's look at how to prevent them.

Only in the first months of life, inflammation and urinary tract infections, mainly affect the male population (ratio 4/1 compared to females) then, especially in the fertile age, these pathologies mainly affect the female population (80%).

Bacteria that cause urinary tract infections

The bladder It is the container that collects urine and is connected to the kidney by a duct (ureter): only inflammatory forms involving the urethra, bladder and first part of the ureter (lower urinary tract) can be treated with the help of supplements with antiseptic and decongestant functions.

These forms, by far the most frequent, cystitis and urethritis, have as etiological factors Gram-negative bacteria identifiable in over 80% of cases in the microorganism Escherichia coli originating from the enteric tract.

These types of bacteria (in addition to Escherichia coli, we should also mention Proteus, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas, etc.) are equipped with thin filaments (fimbriae) that allow them to adhere to the walls of the urethra and bladder, thus allowing them to colonize, multiply, and subsequently invade from the ureter.

    Remedies for urinary tract infections

To the antiseptic action of the bearberry extracts, action dependent on the arbutin content (it is transformed, in the urinary tract, under basic conditions into hydroquinone, from which the disinfectant functions), it can be combined with the specific anti-infective activity against theEscherichia coli berberine and, from latest-generation research and tests, the ability of American cranberry extracts to reduce (in relation to the percentage of proanthocyanidins) the adhesive capacity of the fimbriae, facilitating the elimination of bacteria.

Supplements useful for preventing urinary tract infections
The use of supplements, capable of combining the antiseptic and anti-adhesive functions, must be made with valid dosages of arbutin, berberiba and anthocyanidins and managed, immediately upon onset of symptoms, possibly accompanying for two days treatment with abundant washing of the urinary tract, made with water and emollient, decongestant and soothing extracts.

What happens if we don't treat urinary tract infections right away?

It is good to remember that the urinary tract infections, albeit in a very limited number of cases, if not treated promptly, can lead to pyelonephritis and nephritis with severe kidney damage; therefore, clients should be informed that the initial treatment time and the evaluation of the result should be managed within two days and if the remission of symptoms and improvement are not evident, it is advisable to seek medical assistance.

It should also be remembered, however, that in all cases that are improving and resolving, the capsule and washing treatment, even in lighter dosages, must be continued until 8-10 days to avoid relapses and exposure to chronic forms due to incomplete elimination of pathogenic bacteria.
