I wanted to ask whether Safradex, which contains tyrosine and phenylalanine, is also useful for treating melanin deficiency. Tyrosine and phenylalanine are in fact required for melanin synthesis.

The product was designed to help regulate appetite, so the dosages were formulated accordingly. In theory it provides some melanin precursors, but whether or not it is effective depends on the nature of the deficiency. The best solution is to discuss with your doctor whether this could potentially be useful in your case, as we are not aware of suitable clinical studies on this specific application.
