Good evening, my cholesterol is 279 and HDL is 90, while triglycerides, glucose and all other blood values are at low levels. I was advised to take Aterolip plus. Could it be useful? Since it contains monacolin, can it cause problems? I am vegetarian and do not eat carbohydrates or sugar.

If your triglycerides are within the normal range, the product most suited to you is Ateronorm Plus, which acts on cholesterol and is entirely of plant origin. The Omega 3 added to Aterolip Plus would act mainly on triglycerides and are also of animal origin. Monacolin is a plant-derived substance with a mechanism of action similar to statins and, at the doses permitted by the Ministry of Health, is generally well tolerated by the vast majority of consumers.
