Ateronorm
Domanda
Good morning
I learned that Ateronorm with 10 mg red yeast rice can no longer be purchased at pharmacies and that Ateronorm Plus is now available, which I saw also contains piperine. I have gastritis and reflux, so I am concerned that this ingredient could cause stomach problems.
Do you have any information about this?
Also, the amount of red yeast rice has been reduced, so I do not know whether it will be as effective as the previous product, which lowered my cholesterol from 260 to 216.
Thank you
Kind regards
Tiziana

Good morning
The amount of red yeast rice necessarily had to be reduced in all products that contained more than 3 mg, following a recent EU provision, so it is no longer possible to manufacture products containing higher doses. The feedback we are receiving is quite positive. What may change in some patients is the time needed for the product to achieve its full effect, which for Ateronorm Plus may be slightly longer, while still reaching comparable results. The piperine dosage is actually very low, corresponding to less than one quarter of the amount found in the pepper sachets normally used in restaurants. It is generally well tolerated, also because it is only one component rather than the complete set of substances found in the spice.
Have a good day
