Deglycyrrhizado licorice
Licorice has antigastric and antiulcerose activity, mainly due to glycyrrhizin. This action results from the convergence of different activities of its active ingredients such as the acetylcholine action, the antihistamine and the antispasmodic action which increase the mucous secretion of the gastric wall, and a reduction of the inflammation by direct action on the gastric mucosa (inhibition of hydrochloric acid production), with rapid improvement of the symptomatology. In particular, it has been shown that glyerrizine is able to inhibit the enzymes responsible for the inactivation of protective prostaglandins of the gastric mucosa.

By increasing the levels of PGE2 in the gastric mucosa, licorice results in a protective effect of the gastric mucosa. The deglycyrrhizado licorice, to which 97% of glycyrrhetinic acid has been removed, is able to cure ulcers without the side effects of water retention, pressure increase, heart failure or headache.

Calcium carbonate
It acts quickly as an antacid, reacting with hydrochloric acid and releasing carbon dioxide, the liberated gas stretches the gastric walls, triggering a reflex mechanism that increases the release of gastric juices.

Kelp seaweed
Contains alginic acid, a substance that reduces the acidity of the stomach and prepares a protective gel along the gastric mucosa.
